Our semi-annual board meeting was held at the Belle Plaine Kansas Global Methodist Church. On the agenda, were plans for advertising what we do, helping farmers be more productive, paying school fees for primary school students being helped by WeCareEd, and getting training for sewing club members in using a new sewing machine, which we helped pay for. The board members present (pictured below) were Doug Hisken, Bob Unruh, Kennedy Mukwindidza, Jacob Maforo, Scott Hannon, Kinna Root, and Mark Mohesky.
WeCareEd pays school fees for families, which cannot afford to pay them. Students are selected by the schools' Headmasters.

WeCareEd supports elementary students only, specifically students that do not have a means of support from parents, grandparents or guardians to pay their school fees, which range from $90 to $120 per student annually. The amount depends on the school, as each school has their own rate structure.
WeCareEd has 3 accounts: one is the general WeCareEd account for which we seek funding for and this account provides the primary funding for 60 students in 6 different schools; the 2ndaccount is supported solely by the Andover United Methodist church for 20 students at the Chitakatira Primary School and the 3rd account is the Hillsboro United Methodist church where 10 students are supported at the Fern Valley Primary School. This mission project from 2016 to date has grown from the initial start of 20 students to 90 students.
The two church accounts are fully funded by each church. Presently, those two accounts are in good condition.
However, the general WeCareEd account supporting 60 children is in need of additional support.. Here is the question, would you consider making a contribution to this account? We are seeking added funding at this time so we will be able to continue supporting each of the 60 students.

WE HELP THE CHITAKATIRA SEWING CLUB, WHICH HAS 18 MEMBERS. THE MEMBERS REFINE THEIR SEWING SKILLS AND HAVE OPPORTUNITIES TO EARN MONEY BY HELPING THE CLUB FULFILL ORDERS FOR SCHOOL UNIFORMS, TRACK SUITS, ETC.
The school's track team members are pictured wearing the track suits, which were made by the sewing club.
THIS WAS A VERY EXCITING WELCOME FOR OUR 2020 VOLUNTEER IN MISSION TEAM
Many in Zimbabwe, who cannot afford beef, supplement their diets with fish. Consequently, demand for fish is growing and to meet that demand, fish farming is becoming increasingly popular and growing into a major protein producing industry.
CCIP-Zimbabwe is part of that industry. We provided funds to excavate several ponds. And to stock them, we provided funds to purchase fish. Today, several communities have their own fish ponds and enjoy catching fish for dinner.
…..grows fresh greens for the community. To help local residents, Tariro Gardens offers workshops that are intended to aid local residents in starting and maintaining their own gardens.
We started with the nutritional gardens, and have developed gardens in our community and neighboring communities. People come and seek knowledge on pest control , how to grow and marketing strategies of various crops. They also seek to know the benefits of the crops they grow nutritiously.
We learned the community of Chitakatira, which has a primary school consisting of 2,100 students, needed a safe source of water. So CCIP-Zimbabwe provided funding to construct a water well. At its completion, a cholera outbreak had occurred. So the well became a life-saver.
The cost for shipping one book is $10.00.”
Help us ship as many books as possible.
We want to make a Christian difference in a marginalized rural area of CHITAKATIRA, where there is a primary school of about 1600 students and a high school of about 900 students.
